Set in Chorley’s Astley Park, the hall is a Grade I listed building, which houses a museum and art gallery, and was the venue for 2021’s G7 Summit, hosted by Commons Speaker, Sir Lindsay Hoyle.
We were engaged by our client to provide full access to the hall and cottage, providing full perimeter access scaffolding and a fully sheeted temporary roof to both buildings, to enable them to carry out refurbishment and conservation works.
Due to being Grade I listed, all scaffold had to be fully designed and free standing, ensuring all stability of the scaffold loads were transferred back to the ground and scaffold itself.
Delighted to be playing our part in preserving one of the North West’s most historic buildings.
